ABOUT US
The Beginning
With the urge to giveback running in their blood, a small group of Atlanta community members came together in June 2015 to work on a community food drive. What they discovered was the spark that ignited their growing passion for refugee services. Uncovering the large scale of unmet needs of thousands of refugees in their own city, this group began to collect food, clothing, furniture and even funds for helping families in Clarkston, Ga. They quickly realized that fulfilling only short-term and immediate needs was not enough to fully support the many refugees in the city.
Two months later, Project Hope Atlanta was established as the official and now popular refugee services organization fueled by a drive to revolutionize the industry. Project Hope’s outstanding staff and volunteers are and have always been the heart and soul of this organization, solely driven by the impact they are able to have in thousands of people’s lives.
The Vision
Project Hope Atlanta's goal is to provide support and care for underpriviledged families in Atlanta, GA. We help refugees gain independent, healthy, and successful lives here in the United States by providing them with long-lasting support, educational programs, basic necessities (food, clothing, etc.), empowerment skills, and social services.
We are here to fulfil our obligation to help these families become self-sufficient once again.
